Visual Art Vacation Extravaganza
Our Specialist Vacation Program is a premium service.
We spare no expense.
We have the time, we have the patience and the skills, we have the facilities and equipment, and we don’t care how messy we get, to catalyse and guide a participant’s process from imagination through conception and design to making and finishing unique works of art.

OVERVIEW:
Developed by visual artist Teffany Thiedeman — the Creative Catalyst experience is a blend of great fun, creativity, caring and education.
Creative Catalyst offers a visual art workshop each day of the vacation program. Each workshop begins and ends on the day so any combination of workshops, or a stand-alone, is possible. Combining leads to attractive discounts and also allows the possibility to extend a project over a number of days.
Workshops run from 9am-5pm.
It is also possible to arrange to drop-off participant/s earlier and/or to pick-up later
Workshops are suitable for a wide age range of 5–15. One of our strengths is holding classes of various ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on our in-house leadership program whereby older children inspire younger children to greater achievements, and many young people ‘graduate’ from our program, and return to work as ‘young catalysts’ themselves.
The program is focused on the visual artwork and this includes discussion of themes and techniques, research, brainstorming and design, as well as the actual making process. Nevertheless there is ample time to enjoy a fully catered scrumptious morning, afternoon tea and lunch, as well as recreation time.
The art room is located at Yarralumla Primary School and is a beautiful space with good natural light and a range of working stations to suit different heights. We have a chill out zone to relax in if you need a break and a cubby house built by students gradually over the duration of the workshops. There are always plenty of interesting books to look at and we have a good lunch break!
The goal of Creative Catalyst is to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children can enjoy themselves and develop their creative spark!
