Here follows a glimpse of the fun that was…

This Summer in Canberra, Creative Catalyst offers three weeeks of Action Art, Art in the Garden, Aliens, Mad Hatters and More!!!
Plus Special weeek 3 inauguration of Yarralumla garden sculpture projects for experienced students.

Vala Club will bunker down to a three weeek ‘Underground Summer’ witnessing the extremes of walled cities, clashing armies, and savage arenas one week; skyscrapers, conspiracies, and superpowers the next week; and a mixed-bag of surprise scenarios spiked with the introduction of ‘ValaLA’ Live Action for Vala Veterans in weeek 3.

Shifting Sands will ramp up the action with it’s video project, engaging in a complete test-run leading up to the first production of an episode of ‘The Dawn Experience (Vala Club Into Dawn)’. From miniature set production, modelling, making-of and reality style filming, through stop-motion animation to video-editing and DVD creation. Plus week 3 special replica weapon (‘boffers’) making and filming of live-action (boffer) sword (etc) play.

PLUS- Aeoncademy Specialist Holiday Programs could be as good as half-price with the new Australian Government up-to 50% money back rebate (CCR)!
If eligible (see below) eligibility continues until offspring (at least) complete secondary schooling (grade 12), so long as parent/s continue to pass the work test etc.

  • Note well- so long as you pass the work test etc, even if you receive $0 Child Care Benefit you will probably still receive the full CCR (up to 50% back!); the CCR is not income tested, and is up to $7500/year/child.

You may put together the program of your dreams by selecting from all of the 3 streams. The only restrictions are age and only one stream per day.
Oh and also don’t leave it until the last minute because some choices on some days may book out:
Creative Catalyst, Vala Club and Shifting Sands run from 9am-5pm and include lunch, and morning and afternoon tea, as well as recreation during the lunch break. Prices quoted are all-inclusive; ie. include catering, materials, and any relevant extra material &/or firing of ceramic work.

Registrants also have the option of booking:

  • Early Starts 8-9am with children’s yoga & breakfast
  • Late Finishes 5-6pm with storytelling and refreshments
